Burundi: Dear brothers, sisters and compatriots,
Saturday November 12, 2005
Winter is
fast approaching. Many people are
beginning to wear coats, hats, and gloves as the weather is getting cooler. My
recent project in conjunction with I.R.C volunteer Gina Short, and Iwacu1.com, has been to help
African refugees in the Baltimore area.
Recently
settled Africans, though, have never experienced a Baltimore winter. They have never experienced snow falling down
upon their shoulders. And, they have
never experienced the frigid air chilling their bones.
However,
the refugees are started to fell the chilly days and nights. Unfortunately, many do not have coats to keep
them warm in those chilly times. In
addition, the recently settled refugees may not have the financial resources to
purchase the needed coats.
We can
help by providing financial assistance to Somali Bantu Refugees so that they
can purchase needed coats, hats or gloves.
This means that families, including mothers, fathers, and their
children, will have a coat to help them through the winter.
Your
donation, no matter how small or large, will help African refugees. Thank you for your assistance. If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact:
